Why buyers are choosing Cascade Residences at The Lanes

For buyers considering apartment living, the decision often extends well beyond the residence itself.

At Cascade Residences, the second stage of The Lanes in West End, buyers are finding those selling points in different ways.

From existing Pradella residents choosing to buy again to future residents planning for retirement, family life or greater connection, each resident’s story reveals what is drawing buyers to The Lanes.

Confidence built through experience

For one resident, the decision to purchase at The Lanes was shaped by an existing connection to Pradella.

Owning an investment property at Gardens within the Riverside West End Precinct gave them confidence when considering their next purchase.

“We have an investment at Gardens, so we found Pradella to be a good developer,” the buyer said.

“We have the utmost confidence.”

The timing also aligned with a planned retirement, making Cascade Residences a natural choice for the couple’s next chapter.

Kerryn and Dave’s decision was similarly informed by firsthand experience. Having previously called Pradella’s Ferry Residences home, the couple chose to purchase again within Riverside West End when looking for more space.

Rather than leaving the neighbourhood and lifestyle they already enjoyed, they selected a larger residence at The Lanes. Their decision to buy with Pradella again reflects the confidence that comes from already knowing the quality, location and experience of living within the precinct.

Space and finishes buyers can experience

The opportunity to inspect furnished display apartments within Cascade Residences has helped buyers move beyond plans and renders to experience the residences for themselves.

For most of the future residents, the generous living areas and the option to choose their preferred interior colour scheme immediately stood out.

“We like the living area,” one buyer said. “It’s spacious, and the colour is great.”

The displays were equally important to Sheila and Mark, who came to The Lanes following a disappointing off-the-plan experience elsewhere. After previously waiting years to see their completed property, the opportunity to walk through Cascade’s display apartments offered welcome reassurance.

“Seeing it in the flesh is a lot different than just seeing it in photos or the plans,” Mark said.

Cascade Residences offers a mix of one, two and three-bedroom residences and premium SkyHomes. Select layouts also feature multipurpose rooms, extensive storage and generous balconies, creating homes that can adapt to different households and stages of life.

An established West End connection

West End’s proximity to the Brisbane CBD, riverfront parklands, dining, retail and cultural destinations remains a considerable drawcard for potential buyers. For many, however, the connections they already have within the neighbourhood are just as important.

“We have a lot of friends here already, so we are looking forward to staying here and catching up with them,” one buyer said.

“We already have plans to have dinner together all the time.”

Wan and her family also have an established connection to Riverside West End, having lived at Pradella’s Enclave community for three years.

Their purchase within Cascade Residences was initially intended as an investment, but the couple later decided to make it their family home. With two children, Wan said the local school catchment was an important consideration.

Together, these stories reflect the appeal of remaining close to existing friends, familiar surroundings and the everyday conveniences that make West End feel like home.

Luxury amenities designed to be enjoyed

Residents of The Lanes will have access to almost 5,000sqm of resort-style amenity across the precinct.

At its centre will be the 2,000sqm Rooftop Retreat spanning Wave and Cascade Residences. The space will feature a 200sqm Palm Lagoon Pool with beach entry and an infinity edge, alongside a rooftop bar and terrace, private dining pavilion, wellness retreat, mineral pool, steam room, outdoor cinema and landscaped sunrise and sunset lawns.

A Health Oasis gymnasium with dedicated Pilates and yoga zones will provide further opportunities for wellbeing close to home.

For the anonymous buyer, these facilities were among the leading reasons for choosing Cascade Residences.

“We like the look of the rooftop entertainment area, especially in summer,” the buyer said.

“That is one of the reasons why we chose this one. We like the gyms, the swimming pool with the stunning views and the function room.”

The amenities will also provide more space for residents to entertain, gather with friends and enjoy celebrations beyond their individual apartments.

Support through every step from Pradella and Position Property

The experience leading up to settlement has also helped reinforce buyers’ decisions.

Sheila and Mark shared their positive experience with Craig from Position Property, particularly valuing his communication and willingness to assist outside standard business hours.

“He’s been very accommodating, messaging us after hours and on weekends,” Mark said.

“It’s not been a nine-to-five thing, which really makes you feel that you’re being heard.”

A community already taking shape

While the residences, location and amenities have driven buyer interest, the prospect of a connected community is shaping what future residents are looking forward to most.

It is a sentiment reflected across the buyer stories behind both Wave and Cascade Residences. Each household has purchased because of different priorities, but all have found the opportunity for greater convenience, confidence and connection in one of Brisbane’s most established inner-city neighbourhoods.
