Celebrating 62 years of marriage this year, the couple has ticked off some truly enviable life goals — travelling around Australia not once, but twice, living all over the country, spending two years in England, and, in Tom’s case, even completing an unaccompanied mission to Antarctica.

But for now, it’s time to relax and get ready for their move to The Lanes.

Currently residing in New South Wales’ Central Coast, the couple chose Brisbane as their next place to put down roots for a variety of reasons – to reunite with lifelong friends and enjoy the city’s sunshine, convenience and amenities.

Exploring different developments in the city, the couple were drawn to the amenities at The Lanes – both onsite and nearby – as well as the stunning, accessible layout.

“We’re motivated by wanting to live closer to a CBD,” Tom said.

“We’re conscious of getting older and living in a comfortable place. The Lanes appealed to us very much because of the excellent shopping facilities downstairs and the medical amentities and all of that on our doorstep. Being close to the CBD and the river was very attractive as well. And we have friends who live nearby.”
