For empty nesters Jeremy and Melissa, the time felt right to prioritise their changing lifestyle and rightsize to a home that ticked all the boxes. 

After living in a four-bedroom house in Brisbane’s eastern suburbs for over 20 years, the couple spent time exploring different inner-city locations to choose a new area that felt right for them. 

“We looked at different places – we looked at Hamilton, New Farm and West End,” Jeremy said. 

“Ultimately, we decided we wanted to move to West End, mainly for the lifestyle and the community.”

“The cross-section between the quality of the construction, together with the facilities is why we decided to buy here,” Jeremy said.  

With floorplans and configurations that suited them, all that was left to do was sign on the dotted line and get excited for the big move. 

“It’ll be a big change of pace – we’re going from a 700 square metre block, with a pool, four-bedroom, single storey home, but since the kids have moved out, we don’t even use half the house,” Jeremy said. 

“The low-maintenance lifestyle was also a big factor, being able to just walk out and all the facilities are right there, especially Woolworths, is just fantastic. 

“Every time we come here, we think, ‘we just love being here’.”
