From the Montague Markets to a new chapter at The Lanes

Maty and his wife Joy were among the earliest buyers at Montague Markets, an experience that left a lasting impression and ultimately led them to their next home at The Lanes.
After settling into their apartment, the couple were invited to view plans for Pradella’s next development by Craig Barnard from Position Property. It was during that meeting that Joy spotted something special.
“Craig invited us to have a look at the plans,” Maty said.
“My wife said straight away, ‘I like this plan’. We chose a corner apartment.”
Their apartment at The Lanes is a two-bedroom, two-bathroom home with two car parks. For Maty, the decision to buy again with Pradella was an easy one, shaped largely by the relationship they had built along the way.
“Every time we had a question, Craig got back to us straight away,” he says.
“It wasn’t just a business relationship. It felt more like a friendship. You never felt hesitant asking anything. It really felt like a family experience.”
That sense of connection continued well beyond contracts and handover. “My wife even cooks for him once in a while,” Maty says.
Maty said watching the development come to life has been incredibly rewarding.
“When we moved into Montague Markets, the building was finished and the handover was amazing,” he said.
“Here, when we first moved in, it was still an active construction site, so it felt a bit different at the start. But as each milestone was completed and the lifts opened, it was incredible to see it all come together.”
The finished amenities have quickly become part of their everyday routine. “Everything is amazing,” Maty said, pointing to the pool and rooftop spaces as standouts.
A naturally social person, Maty is already making the most of the lifestyle.
“At Montague Markets, every Friday I’d bring my mates up for catch-up coffees,” he says.
“We’d grab coffee downstairs and head up. This is an even bigger space now, and I don’t think my workmates will want to leave.”
Maty says living at The Lanes in the vibrant suburb of West End has also allowed him to focus on his wellbeing. With a career in substation design, he appreciates having a place where he can truly switch off at the end of the day.
“I’m a fitness guy,” he says.
“You’ve got the river, you can walk to the city, and here there’s the gym, steam room and magnesium pool to recover. It’s a great lifestyle.”
He adds that he often spends time on the rooftop, enjoying the views across the city and river.
“I’m always up there. Even the view from inside our apartment is something special.”
Having already known others who made the move from Montague Markets to The Lanes, settling in felt natural for the couple.
“It made the transition easy,” explains Maty.
“It’s more than just buying an apartment – it really feels like being part of something.”
